This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our Service — whether you are a business account holder or a customer submitting a testimonial.

2. Information We Collect

Business account holders:

• Name and email address (via Clerk authentication)
• Business name and collect page slug
• Billing information (processed and stored by Stripe — we never see your full card number)
• Subscription plan and usage data

Testimonial submitters (your customers):

• Name (required)
• Email address (optional)
• Written review text (optional)
• Uploaded photo (optional, stored via Vercel Blob)
• Star rating (optional)

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Proovd platform
• Process subscription payments and manage your account
• Send transactional emails — such as new testimonial notifications — to business account holders
• Enforce our Terms of Service and protect against misuse
• Respond to support requests

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not send marketing emails to testimonial submitters.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in the following systems:

• Neon — PostgreSQL database for account and testimonial data
• Vercel Blob — photo and file storage
• Clerk — authentication and session data
• Stripe — payment and billing data

All data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS. We apply industry-standard security practices including input validation, authentication guards on all private routes, and security headers on all responses.

5. Cookies and Tracking

Proovd uses cookies for authentication and session management through Clerk. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics cookies. We do not track you across other websites.

6. Sharing of Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties. We share data only with the third-party service providers listed in Section 4 that are necessary to operate the Service, and only to the extent required to perform those services.

We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Proovd, our users, or the public.

7. Testimonial Submitter Rights

If you have submitted a testimonial through a Proovd collection page and wish to have it removed, please contact the business that collected your testimonial directly, or reach out to us at support@proovd.ai and we will assist with removal within 30 days.

8. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Depending on where you are located, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
• Object to or restrict how we process your data
• Receive a portable copy of your data

9. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we will delete your personal data within 90 days, unless we are required to retain it by law. Testimonial content may be retained at the request of the business that collected it.

10. Children's Privacy

Proovd is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted data through our platform, please contact us immediately at support@proovd.ai.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify account holders of material changes via email or in-app notice. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision.
